About Us

From a very young age Kevin Hyde was found working in the garage making radio controlled gliders and boats and crafting pieces of wood into shapes that could perform a function. He left school and took a job repairing photocopiers and gained a limited electrical registration that allowed him to repair electronic devices. A change of direction in his late twenties had Kevin take on two apprenticeships in Graphic Pre Press and Drum Scanning. He was awarded top apprentice in NZ for his efforts and personal drive, achievements and attention to detail. This was a qualification that had him working in graphic design and advertising. He moved to London for a few years and worked as a freelancer before returning to NZ in 2005 and specialising in retouching and 3D imagery. His efforts in achieving perfection and stunning imagery had him provide professional creative services to the top advertising agencies in NZ for many years.

Seeking a change of direction and more interaction with the public out from behind a computer screen Kevin decided to get back to the hands on work he enjoys. Over the years Kevin has owned a number of residential and investment properties on which he has carried out all of his own construction work and maintenance on. This includes building carports, pergolas, retaining walls, staining cedar, painting, spraying, gardening, tree removal and renovation plus much more.

In taking this wealth of practical property services experience and combining it with driven conscientious work ethic, Kevin has created TaskPro where he provides a range of helpful home handyman services.
